On April 13th 2013 we had our AGM in the Banquet Hall of Hotel Torarica in Paramaribo. The day consisted of quite some fun and funny moments combined with some tough and challenging moments for the departing board. All by all it was a great day with great table moments, where the previous board’s term ceased and the new board was assigned and accepted. The previous board (2012-2013) consisted of the following tablers:
- Greg Hermelijn (President, now Past President)
- Roger Hogeboom (Secretary)
- Patrick Bel (Treasurer)
- Robbin Roemer (IRO)
The new board 2013 – 2014 was installed during the AGM and consist of the following tablers:
- Patrick Pengel (President)
- Jimmy Manna (Vice President/Secretary)
- Donovan Leysner (Treasurer)
- Andy Stolk (IRO)
- Ferry Hira (PRO)
The new board looked fresh and ambitious and stated that they were determined to bring a fascinating year 2013 – 2014 for Round Table Suriname.
During the AGM we had had the privilege to be visited by fellow tablers from Estonia, Curacao and the Netherlands. After the formal part we had the AGM after party at the Penthouse of Wyndham hotel in the Centre of Paramaribo. We were honored that the RTI president was present at our AGM after party. During the after party the Jeffrey Parisius Award, an award that is given every 2 years to a chosen tabler who made many efforts for the Table and table activities was awarded to tabler Jimmy Manna. This award was introduced 2 years ago and named after our dear fellow tabler Jeffrey Parisius, who passed away in 2009. Jeffrey did numerous valuable things for Round Table Paramaribo.
It was a fantastic party where everybody had a good time. Click here for more pictures
